(not) Final Fantasy (e)Mailing List

The Final Fantasy Mailing List was formed in 1996 by a well‑meaning core of individuals with an enthusiasm for the Final Fantasy video game franchise. It continues to exist to this very day, albeit in a more or less vegetative state. Give or take umpteen roster and personnel changes, the core is still comprised of that handful of founding members who by now have realized that all along they had more affection for the community they fostered than the games the list was named for.

The current incarnation of the list can best be described as a band of indivuduals who at one point liked Final Fantasy enough to join a list about it, and in all actuality might not even play video games any more, but are entirely too lazy to navigate Yahoo!'s incomprehensible menus to formally unsubscribe.
